VPN Not Working?

If you connected your VPN but Logan Vision still is not playing normally, try these steps before moving on.

1

Make Sure the VPN Says Connected

Open your VPN app and confirm that it clearly shows Connected.

If it does not, reconnect the VPN before opening your streaming app.

2

Try a Different VPN Server

Disconnect from your current VPN server and connect to another available server.

If your VPN offers several U.S. locations, try a different U.S. location.

3

Reconnect in the Correct Order

Completely close your Logan Vision streaming app.

Disconnect and reconnect the VPN, wait until it shows Connected, and then reopen your streaming app.

4

Restart Your Streaming Device

Restart your Fire TV Stick, ONN device, phone, tablet, or other streaming device.

After it restarts, connect the VPN first and then open Logan Vision.

5

Make Sure Your VPN App Is Updated

Check your device’s app store for an available update to your VPN app.

Install any available update, reconnect the VPN, and test again.

6

Try Another VPN If You Have One

If another VPN is already available on your device, you can test it to see whether the problem is limited to your current VPN connection.

Proton VPN and IPVanish are two VPN options Logan Vision has tested.

!

Still Not Working?

The next step is to determine whether the problem is your VPN, your internet connection, or the network you are currently using.

Check Internet vs. VPN →
8

Internet Problem or VPN Problem?

Use these quick tests to help identify where the connection problem is coming from.

TEST 1

Try With the VPN Off

Completely close your streaming app, disconnect the VPN, and then reopen your Logan Vision streaming app.

If Logan Vision works with the VPN off: your VPN connection, VPN server, or VPN app may be causing the problem.
TEST 2

Try With the VPN On

Close your streaming app again, connect the VPN, wait until it shows Connected, and reopen your streaming app.

If Logan Vision works only when the VPN is connected: your current internet provider or network may be interfering with the connection.
TEST 3

Try Another Internet Connection

If possible, test the same device on another internet connection, such as another Wi-Fi network or a mobile hotspot.

If Logan Vision works on another connection: the issue is most likely related to the original internet connection or network.

What Did Your Test Show?

Works With VPN Off

Your VPN connection may be the issue.

Try a different VPN server, restart the VPN app, or test another VPN if available.

Works Only With VPN On

Your internet provider or network may be interfering with the connection.

Keep the VPN connected while using Logan Vision on that network.

Works on Another Network

The original internet connection is likely the source of the problem.

Restart your modem/router and test the original connection again.

Doesn’t Work Anywhere

The problem may not be limited to the VPN or internet provider.

Continue through the remaining troubleshooting steps before contacting support.

!

Restart Your Router — Do Not Reset It

If you need to restart your internet equipment, unplug the modem/router from power, wait about 30 seconds, and plug it back in.

Do not press the Reset button. A factory reset can erase your internet provider’s settings.

Wi-Fi Works, but Cellular Doesn’t?

This is one of the easiest ways to determine whether the mobile network is affecting your connection.

Can I use Proton VPN Free? +

Yes. Proton VPN Free is a good option if you simply want to test whether connecting through a VPN changes your Logan Vision connection.

Install Proton VPN on one device, connect the VPN, and then test Logan Vision.

If Logan Vision begins working after the VPN is connected, that is a good sign that your internet provider or network may be affecting the connection.

Remember: Proton VPN Free is being used here as a simple test option. You do not have to purchase a VPN just to determine whether a VPN may help.
Is IPVanish the only VPN I can use? +

No. You can use another VPN if it works well on your device.

Logan Vision recommends IPVanish as a full VPN option because it has been tested with supported streaming devices.

If you already have a VPN that works well, there is no need to switch.

Can I use another VPN that I already have? +

Yes. You do not have to use Proton VPN or IPVanish.

If your current VPN works properly on your streaming device, connect it first and then open your Logan Vision streaming app.

Should I connect the VPN before opening Logan Vision? +

  1. Completely close your streaming app.
  2. Open your VPN.
  3. Connect the VPN.
  4. Wait until it clearly shows Connected.
  5. Then open your Logan Vision streaming app.

If Logan Vision works normally without a VPN on your network, you do not need to turn one on just because you are using Logan Vision.

Why does Logan Vision work on Wi-Fi but not cellular data? +

Cellular networks can handle streaming connections differently from home Wi-Fi.

If Logan Vision works on Wi-Fi but not on cellular data, completely close your streaming app, connect your VPN, and then reopen the app.

You can also return to the Cellular / Mobile Data Help section for the complete walkthrough and video.

Will a VPN fix buffering? +

Not necessarily. A VPN can help when the problem is related to your internet provider or network connection, but not every buffering problem is caused by the network.

If one channel is having trouble, try another available stream first. If several channels are affected, restart your streaming device and internet router before doing deeper troubleshooting.

For additional help, visit the Logan Vision Support & Knowledge Center .

What if my VPN says connected but Logan Vision still does not work? +

Try a different VPN server first.

Then completely close your streaming app, reconnect the VPN, wait for it to show Connected, and reopen Logan Vision.

If that does not help, restart your streaming device and run the Internet Problem or VPN Problem? tests above.

Do I need to install the VPN on every device? +

Install and connect the VPN on each streaming device that needs it.

For example, if Logan Vision works normally on one device or network but another device is using a connection that requires a VPN, only the affected device needs the VPN connection.
